There has been a few people asking about my plans on commissions or any form of requests, since I did have some thoughts about it a while back, I figured out I should make a journal regarding this.
To put it short and simple, it's kinda unlikely I'll be doing commissions, at least in the case with MMD, unfortunately.
There are a few reasons for this:
- A personal one. It might not be apparent, but I'm sort of a perfectionist. Sometimes I feel the work I created are just not good enough, concerned about how others might think of the work in the imperfect state. As you may imagine, this would be more problematic in the case of commission where you have to focus even more on satisfying the person commissioning you. This is sorta the case with requests too, the stress that could get generated from that is what I'm afraid of...
- The rules. Most if not all of my pictures use models and parts that are made by other people in some form or another, with a lot of the authors stated that one cannot be obtaining profits by using their content. And since with commissions you usually earn profits from, even in the case of dA points which I see as a "feature for premium users"... I myself am not a modeller, in the term of modelling an entire new mesh or objects, the most I could do is only the ability to fiddle around parts from other models others made. Unless I only use parts which the profitable thing is permitted (which, let's face it, not a whole many...), I doubt I could get around this without troubles.
- Again a personal one, might be too personal to the point of selfishness. I just don't want to be given a mindset that this whole creating pictures thing has become a job. What I mean is, this is my hobby, you could say, as in doing the images during casual times and with complete freedom on creating the content oneself wanted. Once I start to take commission, it'll become creating content for the others, there might also be a deadline which could conflict with your own personal time if things going south that day. It's another big worry I have whenever I start thinking about taking commission.
-----
I hope that might clear up some concerns. I know there's a rather high demand currently regarding the content to this fetish, and there's a slight bit of temptation being able to earn something, but I'm simply not confident enough to be the one fulfilling many people's requests or to be getting something I shouldn't be getting in the first place. I'm sorry...
If it is for supporting purpose, I'm really not asking a lot for it, to be honest. Comments from people that let me know they're enjoy the pieces are quite enough motivations for me to continue...~ <3
Even with donations I feel I don't really deserve those, but I'd still accept them if you do really feel that generous.

Change of Plan
So, the whole commission thing didn't fall through due to me being overly-anxious about the potential backlashes that could happen with the "no commercial use" rules that affects 95+% of all MMD models. I have many people telling me to be relaxed about it, but there I went and opting out immediately as I published the commission sheet... As well as being overly paranoid about making up a follow-up post, addressing my inabilities to keep a promise. The financial problem isn't immediately urgent, but the fact is still most members in the household aren't employed at the moment, and I have not found a job myself either. And since MMD commissions isn't an option, what's left is probably drawing commissions, which I am still pretty crude on; Or just straight up open up a donation jar, which is what I'm probably gonna do as I practice the sketching skills. I did go through all the trouble to set up a Ko-Fi for the previous plan, after all: https://ko-fi.com/pachipachy Please only donate
Changed Times
Update: MMD commissions aren't happening, please refer the follow-up post here: What is this place again? It's a lot different-looking now from I was used to seeing. More to the point of this posting, remember the time I stated my position in regards to opening up commissions? Probably not, since that journal post was like 6 years ago. Do they even call these things journals anymore...? Anyways! While I still stand by most of my points that I wouldn't want this hobby to become a job or something to that regard, the thing is, I'm potentially facing problems in finances, after various family members losing their jobs. Meanwhile I've not established any stable jobs over the years either, which equates to absolutely no income. Pathetic, isn't it? In short, in a few days as with this journal's posting, I'll be opening up commissions. It will allow anyone to make requests for either a render piece or a short animation. Prices are estimated to be around $15 - $40 USD. The commission
Where have you been?
Nowhere, really.
Have been putting focus on Twitter more than here, so explains the inactivity for so long.

I am still working on images, and uploading on my Twitter and Twipple gallery. The reason I choose to upload them there beside here, is honestly, because I'm lazy.
It's a bit of an annoyance to having to keep maintains on both sites, especially due to my practice of having to put a rather lengthy descriptions on each of my uploads, with stuff like descriptions, credits. The workload builds up quite fast in the long run.
That being said, I will try to update the ga

I know how you feel with the request stuff, tends to get a tad stressful, especially when some people are quite vague or misunderstood in what they wanted, and sometimes you get a request in which a model for the character doesn't exist, or a character you know nothing about which makes it hard to depict the character in an accurate way.
Better to just make what appeals to you; considering the amount of comments, favs, watches etc. you get from it, its safe to say that it appeals to quite a lot of other people too.
(That being said, the Gifty/Art-Tradey stuff with friends and acquaintances are a bit different as both parties tend to be more relaxed about things)
